The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), the Carleton Research Unit on Innovation, Science and the Environment (CRUISE) and the Canada Research Chair in Governance for Sustainable Development presented the Facing Forward – Looking Back conference October 18-19, 2007.
The conference was a huge success with over 150 attendees enjoying numerous presentations and discussions about sustainable development in Canada over the past 20 years. Presentations from the conference are now online at IISD's website. More presentations will be uploaded as soon as they are available.
Facing Forward – Looking Back brought together researchers, politicians, business leaders and environmentalists to exchange ideas and explore options. The conference included opening and closing round tables, six plenary sessions, as well as special luncheon speakers.
